Valpaços Solar PV Plant
Overview
GreenVenture, through its subsidiary Simplewatt, has successfully implemented the 40 MWdc Valpaços solar PV Plant in Portugal.
The solar plant features more than 70,000 PV panels spread over 48 hectares of land and is expected to produce 63 GWh of electricity per year.
Luís Machado, representative of GreenVenture, stated that “GreenVenture’s goal is to become a leading developer of solar and wind power and to focus on developing greenfield projects. The Valpaços solar plant is one of many projects that will help us achieve this goal and strengthen our presence in the renewable energy market. It´s important to highlight that this achievement is only possible due to the help provided by all those involved in this project, namely the fantastic team that we have working by our side, the partners that allowed us to reach this stage and, of course, all the entities whose involvement made this milestone possible, namely E-REDES and REN – we thank them for their availability and knowledge. The first step of a long journey has been taken – now we just have to continue our journey, improving our strides whenever possible, in order to shorten and improve our long journey. Thank you all”.
